Noir Nation now open for submissions – $25 honorarium

open for submissions Noir Nation is only as good as its writers. Pound for pound, great writers from around the world has made us the best digital crime fiction magazine on the international scene. Help ensure we stay at that level of excellence and submit your very best work for inclusion in Noir Nation No. 3.

The open period will close at midnight, May 15, 2013. Final decisions on the stories & articles that will be published in Issue No. 3 will be made by early August. We expect to publish in early September. The $25 honorarium will be payable upon publication. Please see the complete guidelines by clicking on the image above.

For those writers who received editorial feedback during the last submissions period but whose work was not included, please consider revising and resubmitting.

We were delighted with the number of different countries represented in Noir Nation No. 2, including Japan, Israel, Mexico, Ireland, Columbia, Australia, China, Russia, South Africa, and Cambodia. We hope to do it again. In our next issue, we’d love to see that list expand to embrace India, Mongolia, Pakistan, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Tuvalu, Iraq, Cuba, and every other country where there are crime fiction writers seeking a wider audience for their work.

It is best to be familiar with our publication before submitting works for editorial review.  The first 20 percent of our first issue can be read for free on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo. There are also free samples on the Noir Nation web site. But the diversity of the work we publish is best appreciated by downloading the entire issue. This is not a sales pitch to buy a download or to direct traffic to our pages but a way of avoiding an unnecessary rejection of your work if you submit something that is not appropriate when you might have other stories that might be just what we are looking for.

Please tweet and share in every place and clime — from Brooklyn to Mongolia.
